Namunukula is a mountain range on the eastern side of the central hills of Sri Lanka, with a forest of turpentine trees. It is reachable from Badulla. This post has several gorgeous photos, many shot by my good friend Chinthana, as watermarked.

We took the popular Colombo - Badulla night mail train and reached there by morning. We had breakfast and hiked through the tea plantations to reach the turpentine forest.
