Namunukula Camping

Travels Jan 9, 2019

Namunukula is a mountain range on the eastern side of the central hills of Sri Lanka, with a forest of turpentine trees. It is reachable from Badulla. This post has several gorgeous photos, many shot by my good friend Chinthana, as watermarked.

The famed 9-arch bridge. A British architectural marvel in Sri Lanka

We took the popular Colombo - Badulla night mail train and reached there by morning. We had breakfast and hiked through the tea plantations to reach the turpentine forest.

Washing and marinating chicken for dinner
3 tents. The middle one is mine :-)
